The Indian River Kontrol Society is an organization dedicated to the enjoyment, promotion and education of model aviation in Brevard County, Florida. IRKS was chartered by the AMA in 1967, incorporated in July of 1977 and became an AMA Gold Leader Club in 1990.
The Valkaria Flying Field is located on the beautiful Space Coast of Florida just a mile from the Indian River Lagoon. The flying field is on the northeast side of the Valkaria Airport. The entrance to the field is located directly off Valkaria Road one mile west of US Highway 1.
